Webmail Features Take Center Stage
Wisnet now offers webmail capabilities which rival many regular email applications. The existing calendar feature now includes an email reminder option to keep you aware of upcoming events of your choice. If you choose, pop-up alert reminders can also be implemented.
Calendars can be shared with other users in the domain or with specific users only, with the option to make events public or private. Guests can be invited to calendar events easily, right off the webmail calendar; simply create a guest list (or utilize an existing list) and send. Guests will be able to respond, accept or decline via email. By double clicking your calendar event later, you can see how many guests have responded and what their reply entails. Other calendars can be imported (in .csv format) easily into your webmail calendar for added convenience.
Contact management has also become easier. Frequently-used contacts can be added as their own subset to your address book. Also included is a company directory, which lets you view up-to-date contact information about other users in your company.
For outgoing mail, Read receipts can now be requested, with the usual coda that recipients can choose to disregard the request or simply not send a confirmation.
Email messages can be moved to folders with a simple click and drag method, making message management more complete. Also, with the external email (POP3) settings, incoming email from other email accounts can be checked through webmail. These messages can be downloaded to webmail only, or left on the server for download to another email client at another time.
Wisnet remains on the cutting edge of web hosting and internet technology to keep our clients in touch and informed in the digital age.
Get the most from your website.
Keep your web address in front of your customers at all times. How?
1) Include your URL in the signature of all your emails
2) Mention you web address in voice mail greetings and after-hours phone recordings
3) Make sure your web address is on your letterhead and business cards
4) Your site address should be on any and all advertising you do
5) Linkshare with web sites which compliment your product or service
6) Contribute content to a complimentary site and include your URL in the byline
7) Advertising space on top search engines can be an expense well worth the cost
Tip of the Month
Recordable DVD
Ever wonder what the difference is between DVD+(plus) and DVD-(dash) recordable discs?
Brands of DVD recorders will accept only one or the other, but the differences between the two formats are minor. By and large, the DVD+ format is the more popular, but the DVD- format tends to be less costly per disc and is also more backward-compatible with older models of DVD players.
